Our exhibit featuring Canada’s 150th year is well under way.
Please, come have a look at the many items Comox residents have donated to our collection.
Some highlights include items from the Lorne Hotel, Elk Hotel, the Bay Store, Mack Laing, and Melda Buchanan.
Alongside these featured items, there are additions to our ongoing interests in the maps and aerials of the Comox Area.
Farewell to Comox
Our new exhibit is commemorating the Centennial Anniversary of the 102nd Battalion that trained on Goose Spit. On June 10th, 1916 the troops departed from the Comox wharf on the Princess Charlotte and fought many of the important battles during WW1. The exhibit will run through 2016.
This exhibit tells stories of local Women who are characteristic of the various roles that Women have played in the development of the Valley from Pioneer times. We can appreciate the riches of our lives through this glimpse at the labors of the past.
